The course will provide you with a sound basis of advanced navigational theory, including chartwork, pilotage, passage-planning, weather, heavy weather sailing and sea-safety.
Why Hamilton Sailing London theory?
We have been teaching in London non stop for the past 11 years. We have had many students who have gone on to skipper for themselves abroad and in the UK. We keep class numbers low; we provide more free material than any other school! They include Charts, informative books, interactive books and videos, weekly easy to understand handouts and most importantly an experienced instructor who will teach in a FUN and practical style.
The course are run over 8 weeks (one night per week start time 6.30pm plus a weekend )
Its possible to miss a night and still catch up, !
We do everything we can to help you learn and pass!
You will be expected to be of Day skipper theory standard, we build on this knowledge.

Position fixing
Course shaping and plotting
Tidal knowledge
Use of almanacs and admiralty publications
Electronic position finding equipment
Taking and interpreting forecasts
Plotting weather systems
Weather predictions using a barometer and by observation
Collision regulations
Passage planning / heavy weather sailing.

But if you did not pass a exam at the first attempt and you attended all evenings then we will give you opportunities free of charge until you do pass. !!
